On Thursday, June 21, 2018, United Ways across the country are participating in a nationwide global service day called “Day of Action”. On this day, volunteers across the country will roll up their sleeves to participate in projects within United Way communities. United Way of Essex and West Hudson (UWEWH) will be joining this effort by engaging corporate and individual volunteers in projects within our service area.

UWEWH has partnered with several non-profits in need of volunteer assistance. If you are interested in joining us on June 21st for the Day of Action, click the link below to register. To learn more, contact Machelle Lassiter, Volunteer Engagement Manager at

In every community there is work to be done. In every nation there are wounds to heal. In every heart there is the power to do it.
